GATHER

A meeting place for Golden locals.

(and the ones who find their way here).

Confluence is a neighborhood coffee shop where you can get a seriously good cup of coffee and slow down. Pull up a chair for a few minutes or stay all morning. Bring your laptop, bring a neighbor, or just bring yourself.

THE COFFEE

It’s serious.
And sourced with intention.

Red coffee cherries on the branch at a relationship farm sourced by Idle Hands Roasting Company

Peter Jones of Idle Hands Roasting Company doesn't buy coffee through traders. He goes to the source–builds relationships with the farmers, learns their names, puts their names on the bags. The people growing the coffee set their own prices and keep more of what they earn.

Idle Hands organizes the full chain–from the wet mill at the farm to the dry mill to transport to the final roast in Salt Lake City. That's not a supply chain. That's a relationship. Their beans are scored publicly by the Specialty Coffee Association because they stand behind every step.

We're serving the Confluence Blend–a medium roast with notes of brown sugar, milk chocolate, cherry, and sweet citrus, sourced from relationship farms in Colombia, Ethiopia, and Brazil. It was already called Confluence before we found it. Some things just make sense.

You’ll taste the difference.

THE MENU

Made by people we trust.

Bread and bagels from Rebel Bread Denver–baked by Zach, a founder who believes food should tell the story of who we are. Colorado grown flour, sourdough, made with intention. Pastries from Rebel Bread. Milk from Morning Fresh Dairy–a fifth generation farm in Bellvue doing it the right way.

We source the way we live. Close to the people behind it.

THE SPACE

Come as you are.
Stay as long as you need.

A window bar if you want to watch the street go by. Nooks behind bookshelves if you need to disappear. A community table if you don't want to be alone. The Groove Room in the back–low light, big chairs, no agenda. The kind of room that's good for deep work, reading, or just sitting. The garage opens up for markets, dinners, and whatever Golden brings next.

We keep the menu simple and the flowers fresh.
You’ll know when you walk in.

OUR STORY

Built for Golden.

With Golden in mind.

The mountains pulled them in. The community kept them. They'd been dreaming about a coffee shop for a while but weren't sure how to get started–then Andrew walked into the sauna at the Golden Community Center and met Peter. And here we are.

The name came from somewhere else first. Confluence, PA–where two rivers meet and become one. Paige's summers there: old men in lawn chairs, horseshoes clanking, kids with water balloons, the sound of a running stream. A sense of I've been here before. That feeling is the whole point.

Andrew brings people together through space. Paige buries herself in flowers and anything that grows.

COMMUNITY

This place is always becoming something.

We founded Confluence to be a circle–co-nourishing, co-creating, a give and take between us and everyone who walks through the door. Workshops, markets, artist features, flower design, coffee tastings, yoga, neighborhood dinners. We're open to letting Golden tell us what it needs.

Our circle already includes Peter at Idle Hands, Rebel Bread, Paige's flowers, and neighbors building things we believe in. We'll keep introducing them.

This is our way of giving back to the community that brought us here.
